Plenary Session V: Outlook on Global Economic Growth and Macro Policy Coordination
2016年04月27日

Major economies have put forward a host of macro control  policies since the outbreak of the international financial crisis. However, little desired effect has been achieved mainly due to lack of policy  coordination. The year 2015 saw the lowest global economic growth in the last  six years. The 2016 World Economic Landscape and Outlook released by the UN  put growth for 2016 at a mere 2.6%. This shows that the world economy is in  an unhealthy state marked by sluggish growth and major uncertainty. Is it to  protect one’s own interest at the cost of others’? Or will problems in one  country damage others as well? Coordination of macro-economic policies by  countries around the world is a big test of wisdom and courage for their  policy makers.
